Kids’ Day is a day just for the kids. We, at Ginn Dental Care, know how hard it can be to get your child to properly clean their teeth or visit the dentist. We have designed kids’ day as an opportunity for kids to come to our office and have FUN!
You may be wondering, how can a kid have fun at the dentist?
On our kids’ days, we turn our office into a kid’s wonderland! Each one of our kids’ days will have a different theme, so your children will never get bored with it.

The reason that kids’ day is so important is that it gives kids an opportunity to be comfortable with going to the dentist.
Dr. Ginn wants your children to develop good dental habits.
One of those habits is visiting the dentist every six months. If your children can have a good experience at the dentist, they will be less reluctant to come back and be treated. The hope is that this feeling about their dental visits will last a lifetime and your kids will be set up to have a healthy and happy smile.
Functional Fun
While kids’ day is an opportunity for fun, the team at Ginn Dental Care takes this day seriously. This day is designed to offer your children an opportunity to receive quality dental care and a professional cleaning. Dr. Ginn and his staff take pride in giving parents the comfort that their child will be taken care of in a gentle, caring, and personal way.
Your Child’s First Appointment
Dr. Ginn recommends scheduling your child’s first appointment at around two years of age. We also recommend bringing your child to the office in order to schedule the appointment. This first visit will allow your child to get a feel for the office, the staff, and the environment before having any procedures done. Your children should start receiving checkups every six months once they turn four or five. During these checkups, Dr. Ginn will clean the permanent or baby teeth and monitor the development of permanent teeth and how they are growing into your child’s mouth.
One problem that many children run into is cavities.
During their visit, Dr. Ginn may recommend dental sealants or fluoride treatments to defend against tooth decay. This decision is ultimately up to the parents and results will vary from child to child.
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are a thin coating applied to your child’s teeth. This material is safe, yet extremely durable, and covers the molars and those hard-to-clean areas of the mouth. The procedure for receiving dental sealants is quite easy. Dr. Ginn simply brushes on the liquid and hardens it using a curing light. After the procedure is complete, sealants will protect your child’s teeth for years to come. Dental sealants are almost invisible and are only noticeable when looking closely while your child is talking or chewing.
Dental sealants should not replace regular brushing, flossing, fluoride treatment, and dental visits. While dental sealants protect your child’s teeth, Dr. Ginn still recommends that your child keep their teeth clean and healthy.
